The Whitehall Apartments, winner of the Deleware Valley Green Building Council Groundbreaker award, is a 49-unit, permanent supportive housing facility for those veterans that are in need. Completed in 2017, the Whitehall Apartments were in response to a local need for at-risk veterans and a national effort to end veteran homelessness. Supported by the Department of Veterans Affairs ("VA"), the Whitehall Apartments offer a home for those who have bravely served our country and was built to offer comprehensive support services including medical support provided by the Coatesville VA Medical Center. The property also provides on-site amenities including a community room, fitness center, computer room, and laundry facilities. It also was one of the first communities to be built using volunatry Passive House design standard for energy efficiency.
